I just had to check out who made that last video I posted for Wax Stag: I was that impressed. This lead me to Clem Stamation, “Animator/Pigeon Chaser”:
Most of the time I’m a motion designer but I also make short films about things like chickens that poo lucky lotto numbers. When I’m not doing that I’m messing around with different animation techniques. I also work with bands and comedians creating animation and projected effects for live shows. My Collingwood studio is more like a shed and still has traces of pigeon. Both of my parents were born in Greece and moved to Australia with their parents in the 50s. When they got off the boat the authorities changed my grandfathers name from Kleomeno Stamatiou to Clem Stamation and 20 years later I was given the same name. I recently had my identity stolen so now there are 3 of us. Do you remember that Sesame Street pinball animation with the Pointer Sisters singing to 12? I wanted to make stuff like that and still do. I grew up in a country town on a sultana farm so I also know how to drive a tractor.
His reel is seriously one of the sickest things I have seen in a long time. Hey Clem, how much to do a video? This is one talented tractor driver.
