Cher has been well preserved, but who would have thought she could have a son at the age of 63? It’s not quite what you think. According to TMZ Chastity Bono, her openly gay daughter and activist for civil rights, has decided to undergo a sex change operation. Or the more PC term: sex reassignment surgery.
Changing ones sex is not something entered into lightly: psychological evaluation is mandatory. She would be given hormones which will cause her to grow facial hair and will enlarge the clitoris. Some patients opt to have their breasts removed and undergo a hysterectomy. After years of hormone treatments, a penis and testicle implants can be fashioned (hmm, fashioned?) via surgery.
Sex change operations… how do you feel about this all?

i have been so interested in gender reassignment surgery for as long as i can remember. i’m always watching documentaries and movies about it. i read books about it. read up on it online. i don’t why, but it interests me greatly. i feel tremendous respect for these people who do this. it take a great amount of courage.
